Statement:
| |
|
I am a self-taught enameller who specialises chiefly in large scale commissions, although I also sell individual smaller pieces through galleries and in exhibitions. Due to various opportunities, I have been able to gain experience in a wide variety of enamelling techniques, ranging from the dusting proceedures of enamelling on copper to the industrial processes of spraying wet enamel on to steel. Rather than concentrating on a particular style, I have enjoyed designing and making enamel mujrals which suit the client and the site. Recently, however, certain abstract motifs are beginning to recur in my work and I look forward to developing these ideas in the future. | |
