Mural for the cruise ship 'Enchantment of the Seas'

The client stipulated that the subject of this mural had to refer to its position near the swimming pool on the ship. The wave shape of the mural was also a requirement. Since most enamel designs involve some element of layering, a design based on the layers of water in the sea seemed appropriate. The penetration of these layers by sunlight was added as an element to break up the length of this long mural. The curving shape of the mural is echoed and opposed by rhythmic curves of blue and turquoise stripes which indicate the movement of the water.
